Three UPDF soldiers have died in Djibouti and several others admitted in hospitals following a nasty motor accident. The accident occurred on Thursday morning.
The UPDF soldiers had gone to Djibouti for the East African Brigade military training exercise.
The spokesperson of UPDF, Lt. Col Felix Kulayigye says the soldiers died as the truck they were traveling on overturned.
The bodies are expected to arrive today. Kulayigye has declined to reveal the identity of the dead soldiers because they had not informed the family members of the deceased.
The soldiers from Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya, Sudan and Ethiopia are in Djibouti training in peace keeping mission, disaster management and counter terrorism among others.
