The 4th IIPT African Conference on Peace through Tourism concluded yesterday night with a Gala Dinner at the Kampala Serena Conference Centre.
The conference brought hundreds of local and international delegates together for a final social interaction before the formal end of the meeting and the start of the post conference tours.
Uganda presented itself from its sunniest side to the visitors, in spite of the occasional heavy rains, which mark the rainy season in the country. The host day excursion took many delegates to Jinja to visit the famous Source of the River Nile where the worlds longest river commences its journey to the Mediterranean Sea.
Others enjoyed a day out to the Entebbe Wildlife Education Centre and the Botanical Gardens, with yet others witnessing the formal launch of the Uganda Martyrs Trail leading to the shrine in Namugongo.
