The duo Patrick and Eddy have been most probably the only group that remained on top ever since their inception. Known only as Ngoni, the two came up with Bana City in 2004; few knew that they were bound to stay. Bana City which was their first duet was not a hit but only echoed school songs in times of victory 'Ani yabalimba... abaana ba city mulibasobola.' In 2005, the duo did Sunita. This song drove waists crazy. With a well-trimmed Afro-Indian beat, the song rose to the top of the charts on almost every radio station. Whenever it played in clubs, you could only see the wiggling of waists. This is when Ugandans got to know Ngoni.

With Good Enuff Productions, they started signing other artistes and sooner than people could know Jungle Beat CEO, Mosh, who apparently is only known for duets, joined them and produced the hit of all seasons- Digi. Whoever has not danced to this song will most probably never dance to any other well composed, articulate and dance hall hit. Even though it was done in early 2005, one might think it is a new release. It still rocks and is still up on Uganda's music charts.

What more about Ngoni!!! The guys are ruling and are vanquishing all the other groups in Uganda. As Digi hit, there was thought that the song was too big for their little name and that they could never do any other song bigger than that. Ngoni proved to the world that behind a successful studio, there lies successful and determined artists. The all male group then did Nasiima Gwe. This is the song of the millennium. If you listen to this song, you will start wondering why Ugandan artistes are not making money internationally. Even though it is done in Luganda, there is enough reason to say that the beat, pitch and rhythm of the song could win them a Grammy. While this song rocks, Ngoni is promising a hot package for Ugandans. New tracks which are not yet known elsewhere apart from UGPulse (of course) are in offing including Nakupenda Sana, Sikiliba Kyataka and Rose. Just watch this space.
