Review:
I went to this movie with no expectations whatsoever… and I am so glad I did. There was never a dull moment. The movie takes you in from the very beginning and keeps you there. Each one of us that have bought their first home or moved into any new neighborhood can identify with the characters. You can understand the neighbor-to-neighbor issues that erupt when Chris and Lisa move in. You can also put yourself in their shoes and imagine their fears and hesitance or persistence when things don't go as planned.
The characters in the movie are very believable. Samuel Jackson does an incredible job with Abel. It seems that is beginning to chose certain types of off-the-hook characters for his roles. This movie somewhat reminded me of his role in Black Snake Moan… another crazy role. Well done. Kerry Washington and Patrick Wilson also do a great job.
